Course Description

Through this course, students are introduced to embroidery designs and techniques, with a specific interest in traditional Indian designs. This course will guide students towards developing skills in various types of embroidery stitches, and their application on different fabrics, garments and materials.

The programme is framed and tutored by industry professionals and experts and course is certified by Bayspro. It is designed to steer students towards not just a theoretical knowledge of Embroidery Design, but towards a competent understanding that will result in a career in the industry.

Course-Completion Stipulations

Students will be deemed eligible for awarding the Certificate in Indian Embroidery when they meet the stipulations for satisfactory completion of the course. The stipulations are:

  • Attendance of not less than 80% of the scheduled class hours and other assigned learning activities
  • Completion of all course assignments and performance assessments, with a total of 60 credits.

Career Prospects

A graduate of the Certificate course in Indian Embroideryis eligible for a career in Indian Embroidery in popular Indian Fashion houses, specifically in North-Indian market. There is also a large availability of freelance opportunities. Embroidering is not restricted to clothes and apparels alone.
